No. We disassemble mattresses and box springs completely, and sell or give away the components to be used in new products.
Here again, no.
Any business or institution that needs to get rid of them in bulk: hotels, retailers, hospitals, nursing homes, universities, military bases, municipalities, etc.
No. We charge a fee for mattress recycling because the revenue from the recovered materials does not cover the cost of preparing mattress components for recycling.
Our price depends on the volume, frequency of mattress deliveries, and means of transportation. Our price typically ranges between $15 and $25 per mattress or box spring. Feel free to Contact US here for a free consultation and price quote.
Unfortunately the logistics for residential pickup are cost prohibitive and we are not able to offer this service. When purchasing a new mattress, we recommend that you ask the bedding retailer if they will remove your old mattress and what they will do with it afterwords. Otherwise, feel free to schedule an appointment to drop off your mattress to ensure that it is responsibly handled.
Sure. All you need to do is call to arrange a drop-off time, and pay the $15 drop-off fee.
There are about 20 mattresses recyclers located across the United States and Canada. The International Sleep Products Association (ISPA) is the best place to find out about mattress recycling on a national scale. Click here to find out more about ISPA's sustainability initiatives.
Besides being undesirable for many environmental reasons, mattresses put on the curb often never make it to the landfill because they are intercepted by bedding renovators who patrol the streets at night for used mattresses to resell.
Bedbugs are an issue in almost all mattress recycling facilities, and New York City will certainly have its fair share. To control the problem, we will segregate the mattresses that are infested with bedbugs, and landfill them. The facility will be fumigated biweekly to kill the bedbugs that made their way into the warehouse. And finally, since the most effective way to kill bedbugs is with heat, our employees will have onsite showers, washers, and dryers so they can leave work bedbug free.
Help us spread the word about mattress recycling by sharing our website with friends, family, and colleagues, and joining our mailing list. Also, please send us feedback; we are very interested in improving our website and our business as a whole.
